SRI International and our subsidiary, Sarnoff Corporation, have created more than 40 spin-off ventures based on breakthrough technologies developed within our laboratories. We nurture our spin-off ventures at our own facilities to provide work space, infrastructure support, and business development resources.

nVention Advisory Board

To provide guidance and support in developing our ventures, our strategic nVention advisory board comprises seasoned venture capitalists from premier firms. They provide expert advice in areas such as information technology, advanced materials, power and energy, nanotechnology, and medical devices; market knowledge; business opportunity analysis; industry and customer contacts; and recruitment of venture management teams.

Although board members have no preferred investment rights, they benefit from exposure to advanced technology in our laboratories and from a first look at new venture concepts.  Board members have invested in our spin-offs. Members include:
