Benefits

To accommodate the varied needs of our staff members, SRI offers a list of attractive benefits within our total compensation package, ranging from healthcare to retirement to tuition reimbursement. Our core and optional features provide financial protection for you and your family while maintaining a balanced work life.

Healthcare/Disability/Survivor Benefits: SRI offers a choice of medical, dental and vision plans — funded by the company and staff. We also have options in group term insurance, supplemental accident insurance, and short- and long-term disability programs. Other programs, paid fully by SRI, include the Employee Assistance Program and group life insurance.

Retirement Plans: SRI provides two retirement programs — a Basic Retirement Plan, paid fully by SRI, and a Savings and Supplemental Plan, which gives you the option of saving money for your retirement on a pre-tax basis with an SRI matching portion.

Flexible Spending Accounts: SRI offers two spending accounts that can help you save money on your taxes — a healthcare spending account and a dependent care spending account.

Time Off/Leave: Staff members accrue personal time off for vacation, personal business, and short-term illness. Accrual rates are based on years of service, beginning with three weeks per year, increasing to a maximum of six weeks per year.

Holidays: SRI offers ten paid holidays per year, which are New Year's Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and two "floating" holidays, designated by management, during the holiday closing.

Commuting: To encourage the use of public transportation, SRI provides subsidies for various forms of transit, including train, bus, and metro. Commuting benefits may vary based on location.

Tuition Reimbursement/Professional Development: SRI employees, whose talents are critical to the success of the company, are vital assets. We offer tuition reimbursement to encourage self-improvement through formal education, as well as professional development courses to improve or maintain job-related skills.

FMLA: SRI provides eligible employees with up to twelve weeks (26 weeks for caregivers of military personnel) of job-protected leave in accordance with the Family and Medical Leave Act. Please see the poster for more information.

Additional benefits include access to our onsite or local fitness center (depending on location), credit union, child and eldercare assistance, flexible work schedules, adoption benefits, wellness screening and courses, and free annual flu shots. In addition to discounts for cultural and recreational events, our Staff Activities Center sponsors many hobby and sports-related groups.
