Drug Development for Neglected and Orphan Diseases

A large part of SRI’s drug discovery and development process focuses on neglected and orphan diseases. These include rare cancers, neurologic, and infectious diseases that either affect a small part of the general population or primarily found in developing countries. As a nonprofit research institute, SRI has an important role working on cures and treatments for these diseases.
