SRI International and Sarnoff Corporation Announce Integration

Menlo Park, Calif. and Princeton, NJ—March 24, 2010SRI International and Sarnoff Corporation today announced that Sarnoff will be integrated into SRI, its parent company. For more than twenty years, Sarnoff has been a wholly owned subsidiary of SRI, an independent nonprofit scientific research and development organization based in Silicon Valley. The integration process will begin immediately and will become effective on January 1, 2011.

"Sarnoff and SRI have very similar businesses, which include scientific research, client-sponsored R&D, technology licensing, prototype businesses, products, services, and spin-off ventures," said Curt Carlson, Chairman of Sarnoff Corporation and president and CEO of SRI International. "As an integrated enterprise, we will have broader and deeper capabilities and larger scale to bring even more comprehensive and high-value solutions to a wider array of government and commercial clients. In addition, we will have increased expertise to move scientific research and related technology from laboratory R&D projects to market-ready products."
