SRI Story Kit: CubeSats

CubeSats

SRI's Radio Aurora Explorer (RAX) CubeSat launched in November 2010 on a Minotaur-IV rocket as part of a National Science Foundation program to use CubeSats—small satellites (typically a 10-centimeter cube weighing about one kilogram), for science missions dedicated to space weather and atmospheric research. This CubeSat launch is the first funded by the NSF.
