Our Facilities

SRI's Physical Sciences-related facilities include more than 90 laboratories, about 75,000 square feet of advanced laboratory space, and more than $35 million in capital equipment.

Specialized facilities

• Explosive Test Site: Our 480-acre remote test site is one of the largest privately owned explosive test sites in the United States. Three test areas are active year-round for performing various experiments, including weapons effects, hazards and safety, and basic science.
  
  

• Pilot Plant Facility: Our high-bay facility provides 12,000 square feet of enclosed area and a larger outdoor area for process development, scale-up studies, and hazardous experiments.

  
  

• Prototype Battery Production Line: Our small-scale version of a battery production line supports production of consumer product-sized batteries.
