Hydrolytic Polymers

SRI's new hydrolytic polymers offer both economical and environmental benefits by allowing easy breakdown of polymers through hydrolysis under specific acidic or basic conditions. The chemical process of decomposition occurs by splitting a bond and adding the elements of water, which allows the polymers to be degraded and disposed of in a chemically mild or "normal" environment.
